In a cove letting the kids swim and the ignition switch went dead. The test light reads negative on all four prongs... Ideas? 2000 23LSV

Uhhh are you there now? If so - might as well check all the random stuff that doesn't necessarily solve your problem.

1) Make sure its in Neutral

2) Check the kill switch

3) Check the battery connections / main switch / main breaker (there should be a small one on the forward part of your engine + another somewhere else depending on how its wired + the ones under the driver armrest)

When you say reads negative on all four prongs - I imagine that means that power isn't getting to the ignition at all. On my '01 if I remember correctly, from the factory it had two batteries in the rear that went to a main switch. From the main switch, it had a 60amp breaker a few inches from the main switch and then from there it ran to the helm main bus bar and breakers... so one would assume if your boat is similar and you're not getting power to your ignition, it could be a breaker was tripped under the driver side arm rest. If I am not understanding your situation correctly, feel free to correct me.

The breaker beside the battery in the passenger side compartment, mounted on the walkthru wall. the is a little lever that flips out from the bottom when something pushes the red button. try re setting it.

assuming the batteries are behind the passenger seat. check for this breaker near the batteries.

By "negative" I mean it wouldn't light. Ignition was dead. Breaker didn't pop. My breaker is just under he throttle. Unscrewed it and the daggum wire pulled off the prong. This poor boat has taken a few big waves in the last month. The lake we spend the holidays on has some big boats and she doesn't handle them well. I've replaced multiple connections this year due to it. Makes me want a deep v again almost.

I plugged the prong back in and good to go. Thanks guys. Thankfully we were in a calm cove. 90hrs and this is the first she let me down. Thought he switch went bad. Just goes to show I still have faith in my Mali! Thanks guys!
