Samson Illusion x tower mirror

Does anyone else have a rattle in their tower mirror as the boat goes from a dead stop to getting on plane? I have already tried to tighten the bolt on the back of the mirror and that didn't fix it. I am dreading what could happen to it if I disassemble it.

Mine is very solid but I have the non-folding variety....not sure which one you have?

Is this a new mirror? I had a rattle in my tower that I didn't realize was there until I installed the mirror. once I redid the bushings, the mirror was fixed.

No the mirror isn't new. The first time I had my boat out I didn't have the mirror yet and there wasn't a rattle. I do need.to replace the front bushings this winter. I wonder if that will fix the noise.

I got the Samson G3 tower mount with new 22 vlx and if I could figure out how it's mounts up there I would let you know if it rattles lol!! Any pics of how you guys have it mounted on tower? It has a slight bevel to it and back small peice is flat

Hi Mattb422,

I can put up pics of my mirror if you want, but I have the older tower. On mine there is a piece that bolts to the tower. Then the mirror screws into that with a hand crank.

If you want you can post them up. I just don't know if it goes on he curve of the tower or on the straight part. This is what I have but this isn't me I stole picture off line I'm going to see if I can get it up tomorrow.

When I put mine on I centered it on the drivers seat and bolted on the mirror bracket. Then I put the mirror on. My tower is folded and the mirror is currently off. Your tower looks tubular where mine is oblong.If you still want a pic it might be hard to see
