Misfiring

Recommended Posts

dfunderburk

We have a 2001 Malibu and just replaced the injectors, risers and manifold. Our boat continues to misfire after we've had it running for about 40 minutes. Our mechanic ran some diagnostics and all of our numbers are looking good. We also put a new map sensor on and that did not fix the problem. Any ideas?

Have you put an ohm meter to your spark plug cables. On my '02, after about 8 years, the readings were crazy high and inconsistent compared to a new set. I posted a chart somewhere on here of the before and afters of the original and new set of cables.
