Manual Wedge Question

So the local malibu rep suggested that if I were to use my manual wedge I should skip locking it in so it would act like the floating wedge. Something about that didnt sound right to me. Has anyone done this? Maybe Im the idiot for thinking I needed to lock it in every time.

I forgot to lock mine once and it was like pulling an anchor form the transom. Give it a try. Your results may be different.

Mine just bounces up to the spot of least resistance making it useless, I forgot to once and the wake was way smaller than usual

Same as above. Didn't work at all when I tried this by accident

Don't do it. Totally different design from the floating version that finds a "sweet spot" and stays there. The blade is different.

You have to change the brackets - the floater has no capability to lock in place except for up.
