2008 VTX added ballast sacks

Need some suggestions. Love my 08 VTX. Perfect size for me and my 2 kids. However, it's so small and light, the wake surf is just too small. Installed a Wicked Wake Surf last week and the wake is better but still not great. I've never added ballast sacs, but I think it's time.

Advice: Where should I add? Back lockers? Sides? Front? How much weight?

I've seen lots of people complain about how slowly they drain. Not interested in waiting longer than I already do to fill and drain.

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thnx.

I have a 07 vtx and before I but surf tabs on mine hear is the setup I used :

Both rear lockers have fat sacs 1100lb

Bow I have 1000 fat sac

I have 750 fat sac I can put on top of seat

Fill only surf side bags and stock ballast. The 1100 bags in lockers doesn't fill all the way but it will give make a difference over putting 750s back there. Trust me I tried both. The bow bag I only fill it about half way. I just have a tsunami pump I use to fill the bags. It does sick having to throw the pump overboard a little but it dosent take to long. This will make an awesome wave for the vtx

If you use the wicked wake surf you'll need to add weight to the non surf side of the boat as well.

Wakemakers and Bakes both have piggy back systems to drain and fill with your rear tanks. If you're stopped while they're filling you can pump water from an over the side pump and fill the bow bags etc...

Probably gonna need a more aggressive prop with this extra weight too.

Gonna spend your money here!!
