"switch" button not working

Recommended Posts

We have had that issue intermittently, just shut off the main power button, shut off the batteries, then cycle back on like normal. That's what we have done the few times its happened anyway

Unfortunately 2011 had a lot of bad MTC's. I had one replaced under warranty for locking up. Your symptoms are also one of the issues, if ctrl-alt-delete does not work you might need to replace the screen. Apparently there is no way to rebuild or have them fixed, which is ashamed because they are not cheap.

~$1800 but there may be a $1250 option out there as well. My understanding the lesser cost option may need a firmaware update, not totally sure.

All us 2011 owners are experiencing the same thing, which is lots of bubbles on the outter edges of the touch screem making it inoperable. Lots of threads out there about this.

Here's one of many: http://www.themalibucrew.com/forums/index.php?/topic/53757-malibu-touch-comand-screen-partially-working/

Welcome to Mysery Club. On the other thread I commented that I reached out to Medallion Instrument Systems who is the manufacturer of these screens. The person to speak to is Scott Fry who apparently handles marine applications. Medallion's number is: 800.828.8127. I recommend everyone on MTC call them...this screen failure is complete BS
