Spark Plug Removal?

Recommended Posts

I plan to change my plugs next trip to the lake and have not done this myself on this boat. They have been in a few years (under on hours).

Any special tips to use to do this? Spray them, WD-40 to help with removal?

Spark plugs should come out OK. Bigger concern would be the boots sticking to the plugs if they were not installed with dielectric grease. I ripped mine up pretty good the first time I removed them. Just take your time and gently 'twist' the boots to get them off.

BTW, the boots are replaceable if you tear any during removal.

Good to know, as this is part of my winter projects, plugs, fuel filters and of course

the 50 hr oil & filter.
