Reconnecting 2013 VLX Black box

Crew-

I have installed my new Exile system (Love it), I am running the ZLD and the Exile BTM with my phone as the only source.

I really miss the auto volume control from my factory system, especially when other people drive the boat when I am surfing (like my wife :)) so I am now thinking about reconnecting my factory BB and HU and by passing the ZLD altogether due to known nice issues when running them both together. Unless someone has a solution for running both without noise?

Does anyone have a picture of their factory wiring setup? I did a poor job labeling things on the way out because I thought I was doing to delete the system, shame on me I know. Just need to see a couple photos to figure out where a couple of the last connections go.

Thanks

Are you going to sell your ZLD? If so, I may be interested. Thanks ;)

I see no reason to bypass the EQ. Connect the BT to the BB AUX input, rather then the EQ's AUX.

I went back and reconnected my factory system and am only getting sound out of one side of my tower speakers and can't figure out why. I connect the tower amp the the rear RCA's and the front RCA to the cabin amp and the sub to sub. Everything seemed to be working except that I was only getting sound out of one side of my towers. Not sure whats up. I isn't the speaker connection to the amp checked it and when I re-connected the ZLD boom it worked.

You have a channel out it seems in the rear of the head unit or less likely a connection issue somewhere. Let me guess, when you reconnected the ZLD you used the front RCAs? If it works with the ZLD use it..

You cannot make the rear right or left channel not work with settings, without affecting the fronts...

The overall balance of the system is correct in the HU and hasn't been changed since I switched it off. I can't remember if the factory set up ran one set of RCA's to the amps or two? If the HU intact has a bad channel that would explain it and would be an easy fix because the boat is still under factory warranty. But I didn't experience this with my old tower set up therefore I think it is something else.

swap the RCA outputs at the head unit between the tower set and in-boat amps. see if the issue stays with the tower speakers or moves to the in-boats
