Power Wedge II stuck in setting 2 - 15 VLX

Recommended Posts

Went out last night and my PowerWedge got stuck in setting 2. The screen would show it bouncing between 2-3.

- Wedge is not moving.

- Reboot, wedge says it stowed, but still down.

- Driving back to dock, it gave me the high speed wedge warning at 26mph.

- Got an error that said recalibrate wedge.

There is no Calibrate wedge option on the setting menu so I am not sure how to do that?

Is there a fuse somewhere for the wedge? I checked the 5amp fuses on the circuit board under the dash - ok.

Any ideas ?

It's my daughter's birthday and she's invited all her friends out on the new boat this weekend. My dealer doesn't have time to look at it this week so I'm trying to figure it out / or unbolt the the thing for this weekend.

Thanks!

Matt

There is a quick release pin on it that should allow you to fully stow it manually to keep it out of the water. It disconnects it from the hydraulic actuator.

Not a pin. There is a red screw on the top of the ram assembly that is a bypass. Use a shorty flat head screwdriver and loosen it all the way. Pull wedge back to the stow position, hold and then tighten the screw back.

The wedge calibration is done by adjusting the sensor while watching the reference voltage.

You can also go into the settings screen/debug and then use the +/- buttons to manually move the wedge.

23LSV Owner. The red pin worked for getting the wedge up. It will almost stay all the way up.

When I use the debug screen I can move the web down, but not up. The (-) works but the positve (+) will not move it at all. Under the dash there are 2 fuses, 1 for wedge-up and 1 for wedge-down, both are ok and are 5 amp.

Any ideas what I could check next?

Dealer time IMO. Sounds like either a wiring or a relay issue.

When the wedge is full up what is the Voltage that shows on the debug screen? What about full down?

At the dealer now. I showed 2v when down and 186v when up. These boats are pretty complicated.

Is that a bleeder valve to release the hydraulic pressure? I swear on my pw2 there is a pin located at bottom of the ram arm that could be removed. I will have to another look at it again. Edited by Fman

Sounds like the sender is FUBAR.

It's a bypass valve.
