2015 VLX Pulling Hard to starboard while surfing

All,

I don't know if this is normal or if something with the surfgate needs to be tweaked. When surfing left and trying to keep the boat straight, I feel like I have to really keep a lot of tension on the steering wheel or else it will pull the boat to the starboard. Is this normal? When surfing right, this isn't a problem. I thought it may have to do with the prop rotation and any other factors I am not aware of. The lake I am at also makes us run in a counter-clockwise pattern. Any thougths, or advice?

Thanks

That is normal. When we surf on the port side of the boat, the steering wheel is tense and takes a lot of effort to make adjustments to the left.

That was the knock on surfgates when they came out. People saying you're driving your boat sideways down the lake to make the wave. If your prop spun the other direction you'd see the hard steering change sides with it.
