2008 LCR rough at idle

Recommended Posts

My 2008 lsv with the 320 LCR has started idling very rough and it continues at low speed (up to about 10 mph) you can feel it in the boat. I don't think it is drive shaft /prop because I can feel it when we are totally stopped.

Any ideas of where to start?

I have fresh gas and put in a bottle of stp octane boost, but the fuel is 87 octane from the marina.

I found a marina with 93 octane and filled the tank. We didn't run much after that so i don't know yet if it made a difference.

Any other ideas from the Crew if the fuel change doesn't solve the problem?

I don't know, maybe fuel filters, regulator, pump, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, idle air controller, throttle position sensor, dirty throttle body....

well, that narrows it down

Yes, that's the idea, but it usually only gets narrower after you check out all of the things on the list.

I'd probably start at the right end first, since cleaning the throttle body could fix it for you, and you don't really want to throw parts at it if the throttle body is just dirty.
