2014 23 lsv wakesurf questions

Guys,

I'm relatively new here. Great site! Have owned a Malibu boat since 2008. Just sold my 2008 23lsv and traded into a 2014. We have been out several times already this summer. I absolutely love the boat but I have a few concerns about the surf wake. The wake is really steep and has tons of push most of the time. I would like a longer wake on the port side but have been unable to make that happen. The real problem is when we only have a few people with us. With just a driver and a spotter we need a full tank of gas and all ballast 100%, including plug n play in rear lockers to create a really good wake. This Sunday we got well below half a tank and the push was very poor, especially the port side.. Has anybody else had this problem? If so any ideas on what to do? Thanks in advance.

Speed?? We run between 11-11.6

What size PNP; if the 550s, ,) go bigger. How big u ask...

That will depend on engine size, prop and how much you want to spend.

Assuming you have a 350, and 550 PNP

I would go with sumo 900 (what I have)

get a 2135 prop(also what I have)if larger engine 1235 or OJ 947

Where is your wedge position? I surf port and go with 3 clicks up from bottom

Are you running bow weight? This will bring the bow down and lengthen the wave.(take 1 or both of your 550 PNP bags and get a pump and test it out in the bow.

They are 550's. 410 engine. Wedge is all the way down. When I click it up the wake becomes distorted. Run between 10.6 and 11.2. I have not tried more weight in the bow, Will do so this weekend. When we have a big crew the wave is amazing on both sides. Thanks for the info.
