Hi Speed Wobble

I just took my new 247 out for the first time. It ran great, except at high speed. Everytime I pushed it over 40mph, the nose would start bouncing left and right. Only slowing down would fix it. Any ideas?

Try moving some weight around, a little bow weight might work.

I don't know how the trim tab is supposed to be set on that boat, but it may need a little more preload. Does the steering wheel pull slightly when the problem happens?

Is this a new 247, or a new to you 247? Are you certain it is a left to right thing rather than an up and down thing? I have never heard of left to right. My 2006 247 is arrow straight at any speed under any conditions.

Thanks for the replays. It's a 2014 but brand new. Definitely left to right. I tried rear ballast

check the rudder for play... ... also ski boats have a pre-load trim built into the rudder(i am not sure if they put them on wake boats or not) but if you have one... try adjusting it.
