Surf setup.

I have a response and would like to know the best surf setup. I have manual wedge. Three 400lb fat sacs ghetto gate. I surf regular. I have loaded boat with sacks. One on each side of engine wedge down and gate deployed on opposite side I'm surfing and wedge down. I am not getting enough push to go roplesss. Speed between 8 and 12. I'm going to try my third sack on side I surf on. Any other ideas or suggestions?

I had roughly the same ballast setup (550 each side of motor, two peeps in the back of the boat), once I added 350 under the bow, we got a sweet pocket and can now go ropeless.

I don't have a surf gate as our boat is just listed. We use 150 lbs in the bow, wedge down, 200 lbs in the trunk and 500 lb L shaped fat sac along dog house. Building a ghetto surf gate later this week so I'm hoping to be able to put another sac behind the driver and not have to be listed. We spend half our time surfing behind a heavily listed Supreme V232 and the rest of the time behind our boat.

Well, I'm circling back around to this. We tried to use a surf gate on the response and the wave looks really nice but lots of ramp and no pitch. So there is very little push. We tried to weight the boat different ways but could never get it close to our listed setup. Unless someone has the magic bullet we will probably just stick with listed as we know it works well. Driving the thing with the gate was interesting around the dock...
