I can't stop...new surf racks

Nice work. Did you put any foam or rubber on the inside to cushion the board? I would at least put something on the short side nearest the tower where the board rests up against to protect the edge of the board. Other than that, I don't see any issues with using those racks and you could probably make some money selling those to the crew!

I did put some foam weather stripping along the inside. I think I am going to remove it though and put it only on the inside edge (where you said). That seems to be the main contact point. Overall pretty happy with the outcome and rigidity of the rack!

What about using hydro turf for padding? Might have to open up the spaces a little for the foam to clear but would grip the board and be soft.

I'd never thought about using something like that. That is a great idea. Have any experience with the material? My only worry would be the adhesive on the delrin. For some reason, delrin is not conducive to adhesives sticking very well. But it's worth a shot to try...I think that would be a pretty awesome addition to the racks.

Version 2 might be coming sooner than I thought!

Looks awesome. We are in desperate need of surf/knee board storage on our boat. I'm debating on buying a pair of racks that will work for them but not match the factory swivels, or selling the pair of factory swivels I have an buying a matching set of 4.

Did you just mount the forks on the factory swivel bases?
