Rack damage from dock

Hey Crew - I bumped a dock pole pretty hard with my rack and from what I can tell is it bent the knob I pull out to rotate it. Anyone know of a repair for this or how to get the rack taken apart to straighten it out? Thanks!!!

As near as I can tell from messing with mine when polishing it you have to unscrew the knob from the shaft. That should allow the shaft to drop out the bottom of the rack followed by a spring. I wanted to take mine apart but couldnt hold the shaft tight enough to keep it from slipping without using a vice or pliers which would mess up the shaft.
