2015 stereo and dash

Is there a way to listen to the stereo on the 2015with out having the dash on?

You'll have to add a power button and bypass power button for the boat, have a separate power button for the stereo. Basically what those of us do when we order a boat and stereo delete

As 94 suggests, you've got to rewire the red wire on the black box to turn on in a different manner than it currently does. This is actually pretty simple.

If you rewire power how do you control the stereo functions with dash off? I don't think you can do it without an eq.

f-man has a point. Without a traditional remote, im not sure theres a means to control the system when the helm is not powered up.

I wonder if the stereo powering on would allow for use of the sport control knob? Or at least the rear transom remote

transom remote would function, but other then volume, what stereo functions does the knob do and theres no display to see it?

Assuming one would only want the music while at the sand bar or an extended stay, transom remote would be fine. (So I would think)

Played around with it a bit today. If I turn off the power while the stereo is playing dash will power down and stereo will stay playing at current volume. The only control that will work is the transom remote and will do all functions. This is fine for as I just want it for when I'm at the party cove anchored listening to the stereo for hours. Thought it would be better not to have the dash on for hours. Does anyone know if I can hook my iPod up wired into the glove box round din port? I tried to do this and on my 2015 stereo control there is no setting for iPod' just aux which is the 3.5 headphone jack. I have the Bluetooth setting but getting the fading in and out problem. My 2010 worked no problem from iPod port but I can't get this one to work.
