Stereo stuck?

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody. Never posted before so I thought I would try. I have a 2009 247 with a factory JBL stereo with Rockford amps. When I turn the power on for the stereo, the power comes on and goes to FM1. From there I can't do anything? Power button doesn't work to turn it off, modes do not work, volume doesn't work. It is stuck in that position. I have unplugged all remotes one at a time. Nothing changes. There is no deck to speak of, but there seems to be a control head(JBL Marine MBB 3.3) any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

you have unplugged the remotes at teh black box or at the remote? If only at the remote you may want to try reseating the remote cables at the black box too?

Yes.there are 3 remotes that feed into a junction block, and then from there into a single cable that goes into the head unit. None of the remote cables are long enough to reach the head unit(at this point) I will have to get in behind the amp board to see if I can get enough cable to plug one into the head unit. ? I am suspecting the head unit at this point. Being the boat is a 2009, I may have to replace it with something more current?
