Hit Trailer=Now I need a new tie down...

Recommended Posts

After an awesome day on the lake I came back to discover someone had clipped my trailer and bent the heck out of my retractable tie down-needless to say it no longer functions. Called Extreme and a new one is 88.00+SH...anyone know of a more economical solution to this problem?? (Currently on the road-promise to post a pic ASAP)

I've had problems with the Boat Buckles basically falling apart after a couple years.

Went with the Fulton version this time around.... their going on a year old. Still doing OK.

I've seen them at Cabelas or Amazon. Their not cheap though.

Look just as cheap as the boatbuckles.

My boat buckles are still going strong with no hint of wearing out.

Perhaps because I garage the boat they never see the elements, keeping some wear off of them.

I have had the Rod Saver retractable ones for 9 years. No issues and only 35-40$ or so.

We ended up getting a set of boatbuckle off Amazon for $64.97 for a pair. Extreme wanted way too much for 1. I never did put a picture up sorry. I still can't believe someone could hit that so hard and not damage the trailer. I still wonder if somebody "traded" theirs for mine. The boatmate ones look nice.
