I just bought a 08 Malibu VLX with two mounted tower racks (Wakeboard and a Wakesurf rack), however, pulling the boat on the lift is without banging up the racks is a blast ;).... Can anyone recommend a modification to be able to turn the racks into swiveling racks or will i have to buy new racks?]

Depends on what brand of rack is currently on the tower. Several of the rack companies do offer swivel adaptors but only they can tell you which racks / towers their products are adaptable too. Try staronewake.com. and possibly skylonsports.com. They have both been around a long time.
