When relocating the batteries to under the passenger side storage compartment up the front.. (from down the back) do i need to run some sort of circuit breaker. Or fuse. How big do i need it to be...

And is 1/0 or 50MM2 gauge ENOUGH

2008 vlx v drive monsoon aus.

I wrote that how-to. I've moved on to a 2005 VLX with the Monsoon 340 engine and Malibu decided to use 2 AWG (and no, I didn't mean 2/0 AWG) from passenger compartment to the starter so based on that, I would say:

1/0 AWG will be fine!

And yeah you definitely need a breaker. This is the same kind Malibu put in my 2005 VLX (60 amp breaker)

*Edit* I had to edit this because I am not a professional and cannot be held liable for my options so take it with a grain of salt?? (you know - in case you short out your wires and start a fire)

Also - sweet VLX!

**Edit 2* I realized that you almost certainly have a breaker already on your VLX. You can use this same breaker and don't need to buy a new one even though you are extending the wires.
