has anyone had the brackets on their platform get loose and need to tighten them? how do you get to them to tighten?

If you are talking about your Transom brackets look inside your storage compartments on each side of your engine. There is a football looking carpeted piece covering the bracket bolts. Remove the screws that hold that piece down then you can see your bolts. :)
