Power wedge weld failure

Was out On my 2007 wake setter 247rx today and everything was fine until I loaded the boat up only to find that my wedge foil was broken! Where the arms of the wedge meet the foil plate the weld had broken away. Anyone had this issue!!??

I started getting wedge faults on my '14 24MXZ over the weekend.  When I put it on the trailer, I discovered the welds had failed on one side where the arm meets the wedge.

You can pull the wedge foil off and take to a good welding place, someone who knows how to heliarc  stainless. Not that hard for someone who knows how. Likely arms have water in them and will have to be dried out first. There is a solid bar inside the tubes that should retain structural integrity. Not sure if you have a sensor but it might need to be changed once you go back together as these are very sensitive.

FYSA. When you go to reinstall the wedge arms back on to the housing, make sure that you have an equal amount of thread sticking out on the outside of the bracket housing and on the inside of the arms and the bracket. "On my 2010" for what ever reason the arm holes and bracket where threaded. If you reinstall the pivot bolts and screw them all of the way flush with the bracket you are basically securing the wedge in a locked position. Those bolts rotated with the wedge as it moves through its range.That took me a long minute to figure out why I was still having wedge issues when everything was all clean, new and shiny. Fortunately it was mid winter in the heated garage when I had that epiphany. I may be different on the newer MY's, but I am guessing not on the '07.

I had this happen to me as well and did as you stated (extremely good welder that tigs all metal types) and failed again. I know my first break was probably due to an impact with something as I have a history of finding underwater debris . But the welder informed me that this will likely break again (he could not get a good weld on it as it is plated and thin wall tubing).
