Andersen greasless ball cover

Guess it was good that we were not planning on going out today. Took the dog to the of leash park, came back out to the parking lot and found that something big had been teething on my hitch ball. Funny since it looked brand new after 10? years of use.

They are cheap, but it might take a couple days to get here so I ordered a spare.

A short follow up to this. I had first emailed Andersen trying to find out if you could get a replacement piece before finding them online at eTrailer. Andersen's response, when I had stated that I thought a dog chewed it off? That it was a warranty item and they would send a new one right out. So now I guess I'll have 2 spares, should be enough for a lifetime.

So, is the parking lot inside the off leash park? All of our parks are fenced off acreage meaning someone would have had to sit in the parking lot and watch their dog do that outside of the fence. At one of our parks that I don't go to I've heard stories of people dropping their dog of and coming back in an hour or more to pick them up.

Nice hear you got taken care of. Andersen changed their sales model a couple years ago and it's been difficult for us to see as much of their product. At least their CS is still rolling.

The lot is right outside the off leash area, if it was the dog I think it was then it would have taken about 2 seconds for it to chew it up - big great dane "puppy" that was chewing on a steel picnic table leg ;)

No worries, even if the owner saw it and would have mentioned it the results would have been the same.

Their service has always been great, I had some of their older chrome locking pins rust up years ago and they sent me a new set even though they didn't make them in house.
