Anyone had trouble with LED boat plugs?

Old thread but has anyone tried using a couple of brass fittings to angle one single plug led such that it goes around the wedge when in up position? I'm thinking a 45*  bend might help point more light down into water while still going out and under the wedge

I have used a few brass fittings to add a drain plug lights to my dads Sea Ray do go around the lower unit.  Took 2 lights, 2 street 45's, a T, and a strait nipple.  This way we were able to angle around both sides of the lower unit.  Tried to keep all fittings and lights above the bottom of the hull for no drag (or to get hit by debris).

Thanks man, just bought a 70 buck single plug led, if that doesn't work well with the wedge I may opt for the same fittings as you did
