Ok here is my setup and it seems to work pretty well:

1.) Bow, center, and surf side tanks full

2.) Power Wedge 2 clicks up

3.) Speed varies depending on surfer ability etc, 10.6 - 11.2

4.) 750 lb bag in the surf locker

5.) Extra bow bag 400 - 600 lbs. This will add length.

6.) If I am running a small crew 400 lb bag full on the surf-side seats

7.) Of course all of your crew on the surf side.

The best I have had my wave is with 6 grown men, me being the lightest at 185, weights ranged from 220 - 320. Dynamic ballast on the surf side seats was prob about 1300 lbs. This made both side massive, had to fill the bow bag up to 600 or so lbs.

Bags I have.

http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-fat-sac.html - 750 (x) 2

http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-v-drive-surf-sac.html - 400 - for surf side seat

http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-open-bow-sac.html - 1000 lb for bow. Never fill all the way but always nice to have the option.

Good luck and the 2012 VLX can surf well you just have to throw some weight at it.

Thanks for the info guys I think I am doing most of it right just going to get some more weight in the front to lengthen the wake and maybe play with speed a bit I am getting info saying 10.8 to 11.6
