Suggested maintenance around gas tank?

Recommended Posts

jfw432

I just purchased a 2000 Malibu Response LX. I'm currently cleaning everything up and painfully removed the carpet from the rear trunk. The fuel gauge doesn't work and I'm troubleshooting that. However, while I've got access to the fuel tank, should I check/replace anything else? I don't really want to pull those carpet panels again any time soon.

search for topics regarding replacement of the fuel lines

iirc it's recommended at 10 year intervals

Are you pulling the tank out? If so, check your rudder and steering cable while you have access.

Thanks guys. I wasn't pulling the tank but the steering is the smoothest I've ever felt short of a brand new Mastercraft Prostar.
