Disclaimer: it did happen. I didn't take pics due to unneeded further embarassment and honestly didn't think there'd be a chapter two.

Just left storage with boat in tow and a full vehicle of guests on a glorious sunny day.

within the first quarter mile my T/C custom goes flying off of the boat and lands on M-89. I quickly realized that it wasn't strapped into the racks but simply setting on top of them. I also found it ironic that my son referred to it as "the leaf" as it closely resembled one gently tumbling in the air.

It's 40 mph flight landed suddenly leaving a few scuffs along the sides and a significant chunk of the tail missing. about 1/2 x 3". Ouch.

what do I do? I search TMC and hear about Solarez. I research Google and YouTube further, then go to amazon and spend $12.

I'm proud to say that after my first attempt at it that it is hardly noticeable and back to it's original shape. I spent more time sanding (maybe 15 mins) than I did applying the resin and waiting for it to harden. Performance tbd, but I'd be shocked if there is any difference.

for those of us who spend way too much on toys and then even more on toys for our toys I cannot recommend checking it out enough. Hope my shame is your gain.

I've fixed several boards with that stuff. It's great because you can be picky laying up the resin and take your time doing it inside and then when your happy with it take it out in the yard and wait 15 minutes for it to set up. Good stuff!
