Ballast sac connectors

I finally finished my ballast project with the connectors. Here's what I used - a length of 3/4" ID hose with holes drilled, a 3/4" barb to garden hose connector and a 3/4" swivel connector (all from Home Depot). Then I got the Flo-Rite quick disconnect connectors (available from Barefoot International). Grand total spent was $35. Here are a few pics:

I saw somebody else's done that way and thought it made some sense. It serves the same purpose as the blue waterbed fittings - disperses the water better than just the hose itself. More important on the drain side I suppose. Just watch those drill bits - they go through skin like butter. Shocking.gif

Ebay, claims 600 lbs (but probably less in the ski locker). May upgrade to a better one but this will work for now until I can justify the extra cost.

Do you have the clamp on the sac also clamping it all together so there are no leaks?
