2012 VTX - tons of water when plug pulled?

We have been filling the ballast tanks, and loading fat sacks to improve the wake for surfing. Run the bilge and little water comes out. Anyone have the same issues??

Obviously check nothing is leaking, but assuming that is ok we used to get water in (sometimes a lot!!) via the front and rear air vents on my 2012 VTX. Even if you don't take a roller over the bow it is very easy to get water in the front vents without even realising. And I found if we backed off too fast we copped a wave up the butt and into the rear vents. That was one of the reasons I upgraded to the VLX - better vent placement. Hopefully nothing too serious is wrong

Yup ballast fittings and actually the hoses too. I had one split one time as it was routed in between the tank and the floor. People walking on the floor caused the hose to eventually split.
