Will the Bilge Pump Drain Location Allow Water in During Surfing?

I am thinking of adding some more weight to my 99 VLX (Wake Hull) and was wondering if the bilge pump drain location (below rub rail) will be ok if it is under water?? Will it let water in?? :dontknow: Should I install a one-way valve??

Not really sure on this one. However, as I see it, you have 3 choices; put a garden hose on the hole and have someone watch for water in the bilge, or fill that ballast up and see what happens on the water, or you could put a check valve in and be done with it. In any case, good luck.
