Parker Strip - Lake Moovalya Keys & South

Hi,

I'm hoping a few of you have vacation homes out on the Parker Strip (I knew a few of you do).

We are looking to rent a vacation home out on the river at Lake Moovalya Keys in September and I want to know what the river bottom topography concerns are from there south down to Bluewater. Everything I have read is that nearer the dam you get, the more sketchy the sandbars. I understand the concept of moving sandbars, but should I really be concerned with the river bottom between these two points on the river?

We normally stay at the hotel and dump in at Havasu Springs and enjoy the bottom end of the lake. Trying to see if we can appreciate the convenience of the boat just outside of the house this year on the river and not have to drive and dump the boat every day at the lake but will have to if there are serious concerns with sand bars.

We have nearly hit a sandbar several years ago on a friends boat but that was much closer to the dam then this.

Any help would be appreciated.
