Koal Fish Surf Board Fins

I'm trying to figure out how I should have the fins on my Ronix Koal Fish. I currently have all three in. I have read that more fins equals more speed. What type of ride would be if I took out the middle fin and just kept in outside fins in? If anyone has any experience with this board, please chime in.

Thanks.

Rode this board for 2 summers. One with all 3 and one with just 2. While 3 makes it just a little faster, there is not much difference between the 2. Once you take out the middle fin, the board becomes looser. Meaning it wants to spin easier. Personally, this makes it a better ride. You can do more on the board with just 2 fins and still isn't too loose to enjoy. If you are looking to do 360s and spins, leave the middle out. Just my opinion.

I have the same question too, currently I am riding without the center fin, I need to try moving the 2 outside fins more forward now, I think it would spin easier but not sure what other effects it would have. Curious to know too.

I currently just have the center fin in mine. Still rides like its on rails but has been great for beginners. I have tried a few different fin configurations but feel like I have out grown the board because no matter what fin configuration I use it always seemed "heavy" to me. By "heavy" I mean it likes to go in a straight line but as soon as you try to cut, slash or whatever it take a lot of effort and board slows down. I assumed it was the swallow/fish tail shape that was causing this feeling more than the fins and spend most of my time on my skim board.

I am going to experiment with this board a little more because I feel like as a snowboarder a surf style board will fit how I want to ride better. A new board is not in the budget right now so I am going to try a bunch of different fin setups in a couple weeks when I am at the cabin to see if I can find something I like.
