Power control module issues 2015 23LSV

Recommended Posts

Tracking down some electrical/ control issues with new boat. Any else had some gremlins/ ghosts at the control board? Hope screen doesn't go poltergeist on me. Heater turns itself on, aft bilge doesn't work, ballast pump either doesn't work or drains itself and won't shut off, cruise control will change its setting, temps for air and water way off ( kind of common I hear). My dealer and service personnel are awesome, just wondering if anybody else had any paranormal run ins operating new systems. 50hrs love the boat, any and all ghostbusters thoughts welcome.

Make sure you have the latest software version. If you do, try checking connections to each control module. I had similar issues with mine within the first 150 hours until I got lucky and found the problem was a connection to the back of the maliview screen. All the gremlins disappeared and I now have 790 hours on her. Knock on wood, haven,t had an issue since August 2013. I had taken three trips to the dealer. They tried everything including updating software, then re flashing computer, then replacing viper box and to no avail... One night run my maliview screen went solid blue. That is when I reached through about a 3" diameter hole that the wires ran through and pushed on the wire loom and heard a distinct click. Haven't had a problem since. Best of luck, hope you get it figured out soon. Have a great summer and safe boating.

Thanks for the help, I will keep in mind if trouble continues. Mechanic says that the power control module failed when tested. It would short out. Will keep you posted. Thanks again for the helpful info. Have a fun and safe summer as well.

Took boat out post power control module replacement, three surfed once each, one wake boarded, gremlins arise once again with the addition of my ls3 missing and limping back to trailer at a whopping 13mph...
