I have had my boat for about 3 years and it did not have a wedge until today!! I have struggled dialing in my surf wave and hope that the wedge is going to make the difference. Any input on weighting for surfing would be greatly appreciated. I currently have 750's in rear, stock center MLS and acme 1235 prop. Usually have 2-3 adults in the boat + kids.

Thanks in advance....This forum ROCKS!!

If your not running homeade gates, pull the 750 that is not on the surf side and move it to the surf side either in the bow or on the surf side seats. If you are running 750's in each locker, weighting even without gates, you will not get a good wave.

Same boat, same sacks, same prop. I run with 600 in the bow, center locker full and the surfside rear locker full with wedge down and everyone on the surfside. If I recall, I think i'm at 2600 rpm.

I don't particularly care for surfing, so I can't be bothered to spend much time trying to dial it in so there's no guarantee this isn't the blind leading the blind.

I have the same boat.

Right now I can surf ropeless with people in the boat.

Acme 537 (probably go to 1235 soon)

750 in each corner (only filling surf side)

Center bag full

2 people in the bow(about 340 lbs)

4 people in the boat with 2-3 on surf side

Wave is short but ok to surf. Take more skill to be able to go ropeless but just this past week on Norris Lake had 2 newbies do it with some practice. Was going 9.5 mph which is much slower then everyone else.

I am going to put 600lb bow sac in soon. See if that lengthens in. Also a lot of people put a sac under the passenger seats.

So basically your next step is to plumb in a 600lb bow sac.
