Anyone experiencing stuck oil filters on new 2015 Monsoon engines?

You guys are making me paranoid, or really proud of my own hands. I always oil the gasket and go with "pretty hand tight" (check that torque spec, it's in the manual) and then I'm able to remove the filter by hand 50 hours later. A bit harder, and sometimes a 2 handed job, but it never involves tools.

I went into Napa and got one that is specific to the filters For the 350. And the NAPA filter. Not sure if It would fit other brands. Of the same size. Don't have a link sorry. But if you go to any NAPA they can get you the exact cap for your filter. These work like a champ.

I have a wix filter. They should all be fairly close. Unless the Napa filter has an actual torque point built into the bottom where a cap can lock in.

Why, do they get Channel lock factory seconds? Not sure where mine came from, bought it in high school - same brand and size that they still sell.

Not seconds, but big box quality. Meets their standards, but not at the top tier. I used Channel locks every day in my job for the last 38 years and noticed every pair I purchased from a big box store were softer with sloppier fitment than a pair I would buy from a tool store or hardware store, so I wrote to them and was told their standard had tiers.
