What is everyone running for there wakeboard wakes on this boat? The factory hard tank/wedge wake is very nice, just curious what the next level would be from factory hard tanks and wedge.

I've not run the 22 VLX, but have to believe the weight distribution is the same. Whatever the total ballast is you're going to add, put 40% up front. I've used this for every Malibu I've owned - 2500 on top of stock, two 750's in the back and 1000 bow sac. Depending on # of people, you can reduce how much you fill to produce a consistent wake. The same applied if we added 500 in lead - 150 in each rear locker, 200 in the walkway. Running this much weight we would drop the wedge one click and speed up .5 to 1 mph.

Bottom line, the factory ballast distribution is what you want keep...factoring in the drive-train and fuel weight, too much rear weight or wedge and you're going to porpoise.
