Ballast Rookie Questions

Just bought a 04' 23 LSV which is my first boat, and first time using an internal ballast system. Took it out today for the 2nd time and started playing with the ballast and now I have some questions.

1. How long should it take for the tanks to fill? I have a rear tank in each locker, center, and bow.

2. How do I know when they're full?

3. When I turned on the pump for the center/bow tank water started seaping out of the carpet in walkway to bow and a lot of water in the storage compartment in front of passenger seat. I'm assuming l've got a leak somewhere?

Thanks

Depending on your set up, fill times can vary. If you have dedicated pumps for each it should take less than 10 minutes. The pumps should shut off once the tank is full.

Water coming up through your floor means you definitely have a leak, thus why you probably are not getting your tanks full....

Water should start squirting out of the over flow hole on the side you are filling when full. Sounds like you have a hose off for you middle tank
