Boat mate trailer with torsion axles

I was taking my boat to storage this morning and I was backing up then noticed my rear tire was not touching the ground. The tire almost hitting the fender on that side. Anyone know anything about this going out next weekend and want to get this fixed.

Just a guess, but it sounds like the brakes are being applied or not releasing on the front axle. That could cause a torsion axle to "lift" when braking while going backwards.

I fail to see how can the front brakes cause the rear axle to come off the ground.

Not completely level. It has to be torsion axle. I can jack up the trailer and use a bar and lower the tire back on the ground. When I lower the jack that axle goes back up into the fender. Is this a common problem? What is my next step?

Is this with or without the boat on it?

After i had some work done on mine, i noticed the same thing on one wheel. When they had re-installed the pivoting arm (not sure what else to call it), they were off one or two splines, and that was enough to let one when be off the ground with no weight on the trailer. It was an easy fix.

You might of broke your torsion axle. My boat when I purchased it had a broken Torsion axle. PO left the ballast in the boat while trailering it and went over a speed bump pretty fast.

Also look and see if the position of the correct one is the same as the one that is looking off.

There is a adjustment to the angle of the torsion bar. I dont know how but you may have spun the torsion axial in the trailer axial Frame/hub.

Its not a brake issue.

I put a new axle on the boat becuase I bought it like that out of state and had to trailer it home. When I tried to break free the old torsion axles from the trailer axle it was almost impossible. I gave up and scrapped it all out.

If you post some pictures will be able to tell.
