Rev10's and stock Rockford amp

I currently have 2 sets of 6 x 9s and want to upgrade to 1 set on Rev10. I was just going to do the speakers now and then upgrade amp in a few months. Will there be a considerable difference in quality running the rev10 with the stock amp or would it be smarter to do it all at once? Thanks for any advise

If so then you'd only be giving each rev10 150w. They really need at least 300.

They will work with that amp, but you'll be leaving some performance on the table, and also risk pushing them with damaging distortion to get them loud. You don't NEED a new amp, but I'd do it if it were me.

If it is that amp, wire the speakers in parallel and bridge them at the amp, you'll be giving them 250w each. That amp can handle them wired to 2ohm bridged. you'll lose the balance feature but it's the towers and you normally wouldn't adjust that anyway.

Then save some money, if you plan on adding another set of REV 10's, get the RF t1000-4 amp, its a beast. Otherwise, http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/t600-4 this amp would power two REV10's perfectly, bridged!

Actually, the stock amp is not 2 ohm stable in bridge mode. I ran my stock amp on my Rev 10s for a season. Not ideal, but my pocketbook said I had to stop spending last year. I now run them with a Polk PAD4000.4.

A Syn-4 is ideal or iId look to pick up a 2nd 500/2.

Thanks for the advice...I think I'll just hold off a month and go with the Syn-4
