Steering modification

Just changed my steering weeks ago. Looks really better, except I'm still waiting on the center cap from Malibu...

Great looking new wheel. Much better than the single spoke Malibu ran with that year.

I think You'll like that a lot better. I made the same swap on mine last year.

Out of curiosity, what do they get for the Malibu center? I just used the plain chrome looking thing that came with the Livorsi wheel and didn't use the livorsi puffy sticker.

The steering didn't come with any center cap. I ordered it directly from Malibu and now they are supposed to provide me the Malibu chrome center cap.

The one spoke steering is propbably the worst steering I have seen in a boat :-(

Did you have to change the tilt adapter to the one "oldjeep" noted in a previous thread to be compatible with the six-spoke Gussi wheel?

No tilt change needed

As mentioned, the steering comes directly from Malibu and they double checked that change tilt was not necessary before the order :-))

But oldjeep comment was very helpful in order to avoid bad surprise.
