Which thermostat would my 98 response lx need carb model? Can I use bakes 160? Also how do I get to the thermostat on my boat? http://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=844

I replaced the one in my RLXI with this model from SkiDim which according the manual is the same one for your engine 985009. It was considerably cheaper than bakes. Neither appear to come with the necessary gaskets - there are two (an upper and lower).

Check the engine manual here for details on locating your tstat housing on the LX. Sorry I can take a pic of it for you on my monsoon but I don't think they are the same.
