Simple mounting board for basic stereo in SSLXI

Looks nice. I built a similar board for a single amp. Now I'm upgrading to a bigger amp and ordered HDPE sea board.

I'm hoping to build one for my SSLXi this spring too. Bought another amp, and the last install was rushed to get the boat on the water. Looks nice and I appreciate the photos. Are you taking the observer seat base out to gain more access during the install? I intend to do that, but haven't looked into feasibility/ease.

The base comes out fairly easily. (15 min job). There are two lag bolts horizontally into the ends and four or so screws on inside into the brackets. The amp board will go in and out without removing the base, but it is much easier to climb into the observer compartment to attach speaker wires after removing the base.

edit: six lag bolts, plus one lag bolt vertical accessed from the ski locker

Looks great Boz. I just finished my HDS repair today, and pulled my observers seat base and cleaned up in there. Hopefully get some time to do a proper stereo install.
