Recommended Posts

I finally got time to get started on my install. It's been awhile, so I started easy:

Then I had to fab some brackets for the bow speakers:

And then the amp:

This weekend is finishing up the sub box (fiberglass, carpet, wire & mount), final wiring & all the details of putting the boat back together, then tune the amp. Getting close.....

Had to work around the heater, the hull & the permanent foot rest. P.I.T.A., but hopefully it will be worth it. I should finish the sub and the install this weekend. Very anxious to hear it.....

Mskier- what sub is going in that box? and do you have any idea what the internal chamber volume is?

Exile 12" dvc is going in the box. Internal volume is 1.06 cubic feet as best I can determine. I'll put some stuffing in there & see what happens.

Didn't get as far as I wanted this weekend, but that's ok. Chased a few gremlins (thanks Brian for the poolside help on a Sunday no lees). Back at the sub today.

Well, due to some unforseen issues I had to hold off on wrapping up the install. However, I did temporarily hook up the sub and listen for a while. Wow. This Exile stuff is bad a**. Clear for as loud as my son (20) & I could stand it in the garage. Can't wait to hear it when it is buttoned up & on the water. Even got my wife to smile because her Miranda Lambert sounded awesome.....

Finally finished up the sub. I think I'm going to like this. Still have a few issues/gremlins to chase but all in all it's going to be pretty cool.
