ACME 1231?

Recommended Posts

Looking for a new prop for my '96 Sunsetter. It still has the original 13x13 Stainless CVP prop on it. Bought the boat in Las Vegas (elevation 1,100) last year and brought it to Utah where we run on lakes between 4400 and 6000 feet. With the current prop WOT is 4200 RPM and top speed about 38.5 MPH, Indmar recommends WOT at 4800-5200 for my Monsoon 320. We use the boat for lots of things primarily skiing, but some wakeboarding, wake skating, and kneeboarding. ACME is recommending a 1231 (13x11) prop as a replacement - I haven't seen many posts here about the 1231 - anyone using one? Wondering if it is a good recommendation.

Looks to be between the 911 which is a 13x10.5 and the 525 13x11.5. I run the 525 on my SSLXI and love it, but i am also barely above sea level. it looks to be a pretty good suggestion, hopefully somebody with some experience with the 1231 will chime in.

I second the 525.. Used to run it on my last SSLXI, it was a huge improvement over the CVP prop.
