Wakemakers with 600 LB Sumo

So I did a search and I couldn't find the answer to my question. That being said, I hope I'm not the only guy who has this issue. I ordered the Wakemakers 600 kit to add to my stock MLS. I believe I have it hooked up correctly? It has two drain lines on the bottom of the bag that fill into the stock ballast. The bag fills from the top and is supposed to drain into the stock tank. When the stock tank is full the bag is supposed to fill. My problem is the stock tank wasn't filling and the bag was. Do you have to fill the bag and then when it reaches a certain volume means it forces water into the tank? I stopped filling when my starboard pure stock tank began dumping water out the drain. I was able to wakeboard because both sides had about the same weight. Once I got home I pushed on the bag and eventually got enough water out to lift it up and was able to get most of the water to dump into the stock tank and finally get rid of the water.

I put two pics. The first is the overall top view. The second shows the bottom of the bag and how it drains into the MLS tank. Should I modify the kit, or is their some way of priming the kit? I would be happy to shoot more pictures if the ones I have aren't enough.

Is this the "piggyback" kit? If so, there is a good video on YouTube of this install. When done I think it should look a little cleaner. I am looking at ordering this system as well. I think this is the correct link -

Thank you so much for posting that video. My boat is slightly different, but it totally explains what I need to do to fix it.

I bought the same piggyback system this winter and have the same problem as you are, bottom tank gets air locked. My drain hoses are flat. Played with it 3 times on the water and same thing every time. After pushing on the bag and running fill pump every 15 minutes finally got the hard tank full an hour later. Wakemakers is trying to come up with a solution to this but said I am the only one they have heard of with this problem.

I called Wakemakers today and they said they are working on it. I did have luck on the trailer when I pushed on the bag and hit the empty switch on the dash. Then the tank filled up? I didn't wait to see if it would continue to fill if I shut off the drain pump.

So for an update Wakemakers sent me a valve and so extra plumbing so I can bypass the bag if I want and only fill the stock tank. I haven't installed it yet because any free time we have had has been taken up with family events, work, and boating. I will work on it this winter. Wakemakers is a great company to work with.
