Sub under helm w/heater in VTX?

I have a 2014 Vtx with a 3 outlet heater under the helm. Anyone also fit a sub under there? I have the sound pack 2 with no sub, and the sound is really lacking. Need to tune the amps (I think), but really needs some bass. Took it to 2 shops and both said couldn't fit anything there. Don't want to do the dealer sub under there based on all the comments here.

Any suggestions?

You can fit a ported 12 under that dash pretty easily in a 1-8-2.3 cu. Ft. box all day. I had a few different setups when I had mine. You may need to reposition your heater higher up on the rear wall of the compartment to make it happen.

I had a heater in mine with a 15" Kicker L7 under the helm in a 2 ft^3 box last year and didnt have to reposition heater. I am doing a new build with a 3.8 ft^3 box and had to remove heater to utilize as much space as possible.

There is quite a difference in helm space between the VTX and a 247. I have had both.
