Does anyone know where the fuel filters are located on a 1999 Response Lx with a Monsoon engine?? I know where the threaded (the larger one) one is, but the smaller one I don't.

The fuel filter in in the trunk, at the rear of the boat. When you are standing on the plateform open the trunk and where your fuel shut off switch is located, in there. You have to take the backing off in order to gain access. About 8 screws to undo.

Ditto. Finding the screws that first time is fun.

Not one of Malibu's brightest moves. You get to dismantle your trunk for what should be part of your annual maintenance procedures. Which reminds me that I haven't changed mine this year. Stupid location with a capital "S".
