Can't Find Old Threads

I'm trying to locate a thread about restoring a teak swim platform which I started a few years ago. "My Content" only goes back to July and the search function doesn't seem to bring up anything related to teak swim platforms despite searching "teak", "teak platform", "swim platform", etc. How do I find an old thread from before July?

Click on the gear in the top right corner of the site. Type "teak restore" in the site's stock search field. I am seeing a dozen of hits on the first page alone. If I type "oberon" in the author field, I see 8 threads going back to 2011.

Thanks. I couldn't find anything using "teak restore" but I used "teak" and put my name as the author, which worked. Curiously, I was able to find the thread I was looking for quicker by using the Google search option, which I hadn't seen before.
