I had it installed while they were installing the new interior so don't know the details. Pretty sure it went in just like putting down carpet.

The flooring is wall to wall. They removed the seat bases before installing the flooring so yes it is under the seats. We didn't replace the carpet on the hull sides or seat bases but probably will at some point.
